From now on, we will use every opportunity for promotion to get our system on the right track. Of course, today we have also unlocked our affiliate area. From now on, anyone who has a website or is well connected on social networks, can sign up and cash in $5 for each mediated listing in our directory.
We will need many affiliates to reach our aim, to grow the largest and most up-to-date directory in the area of “Bitcoin accepted here”. I hope we get a lot of support from the bitcoin fan base.
Why did we start this project
This is actually quite simple. I, Jörg-Owe, wanted to see where I could pay with bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, if I was going on a journey from northern Germany to southern Spain. I only wanted to pay with Bitcoin or Altcoins.
So I sat down at the PC to find out in advance the places where I could pay with cryptocurrencies. The good thing was that I immediately found some directories in the “Bitcoin accepted here” section. I thought that would be easy to plan my route, so that I could only pay with Bitcoin & Co.
My enthusiasm disappeared after only a few minutes, as the directories barely kept up-to-date listings. That could not be true, that there were so many “link corpses” in the directories. But unfortunately it was like that, with the directories I found. And there are some really big, unfortunately totally outdated.
Of course I still tried to find shops and service providers where I can pay with Bitcoin. It lasted over 3 days and countless phone calls until I had created my own list. Now I was ready to take a Bitcoin trip.
But the feeling of having taken so much time to find an actually simple information, and that, in terms of the number of information pages on the Internet, unbelievable!
That’s exactly what it needs on the internet! A current overview of possibilities to pay with Bitcoin and Co. So I sat down and designed a rough overview of ways to improve it. The result, do you see or visit right now.
From now on, we will really be pushing ahead with our “Bitcoin accepted here” project, and with the help of like-minded people, to become the most up-to-date overview in the area “Bitcoin accepted here”. Because that’s exactly what my project is about.
